But there was one big hurdle: The GT500KR doesn't technically exist quite yet. "So we had to finish their design first," Moser says. "Then we brought in a prop maker to create side skirts and spoilers out of wood, smooth them out, and sent them to a fiberglass shop to make molds. Once the parts are formed from those molds, we finish them and attach them to the car." One of the cooler features of the Mustang KITT is air-ride suspension, which allows its driver to lower the car's ride height when the vehicle morphs from Hero to Attack mode. "When it goes on the offensive, it gets slammed to the ground," Moser chuckles. Very aggressive, indeed. There will be three models used in filming: Hero (essentially a stock GT500KR); Attack (the tricked-out model); and Remote Control (operated via RC, obviously).

About 6,300 viewers watch the Fox Business Network, on average, on any given weekday, according to estimates from Nielsen Media Research. CNBC attracted about 283,000 viewers each weekday during the first two months that Fox was on the air, according to Nielsen figures reported by the New York Times. The low ratings for Fox Business are not surprising for the upstart channel. For one thing, CNBC reaches about 90 million homes, while Fox Business is available in about 30 million. But Fox Business reached 9,000 viewers during the week of Dec. 10, the last for which figures were available, and its parent News Corporation remains confident. "In an advertising campaign that has sprawled across television screens, billboards and magazine pages, the News Corporation has sought to hitch the fortunes of Fox Business directly to Fox News Channel, which draws millions of viewers a day," according to the Times.
Zoho Adopts Offline Mode for Web-based Apps
Zoho, a web-based suite of productivity applications, announced yesterday that users of its word processor software can edit their documents in an offline mode. The announcement quells one of the primary criticisms mounted against the two-year-old start-up and its primary competitor, Google Apps, by businesses accustomed to traditional installed tools like Microsoft Office. Raju Vegesna, chief evangelist at Zoho, admitted the move won't catapult the company into the enterprise space just yet but he says it will help Zoho garner more small business (SMB) customers. "We don't think the online office suites are enterprise ready yet," Vegesna says. "The current functionalities are targeted toward SMBs. Eventually you'll see an enterprise version. The apps need to mature more before going to the enterprise." In order to make online functionality available offline, users must add the Google Gears extension to their web browser.
