ORACLE OPENWORLD, SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Oracle today previewed planned features of its next-generation, modern application platform, Oracle(R) Fusion Middleware 11g. The preview shows tightly integrated Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Grid Computing and new Enterprise 2.0 functionality into a single, unified, hot-pluggable and secure platform for building and deploying modern applications. Oracle previewed many of the significant enhancements planned for Oracle Fusion Middleware including new functionality for: The preview demonstrates deeper integration between the products within the Oracle Fusion Middleware family and enhancements to the common infrastructure shared by those products. Auditor: US can’t tell what it got for $1.2B spent on Iraq program
WASHINGTON (AP) � The State Department so badly managed a $1.2 billion contract for Iraqi police training that it can�t tell what it got for the money spent, a new report says. Because of disarray in invoices and records on the project � and because the government is trying to recoup money paid inappropriately to contractor DynCorp International, LLC � auditors have temporarily suspended their effort to review the contract�s implementation, said Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction Stuart W. Bowen Jr. Bowen had been trying to review a February 2004 contract to DynCorp awarded by the State Department�s Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL). The company was to provide housing, food, security, facilities, training support, law enforcement staff with various specialties as well as weapons and armor for personnel assigned to the program.

Second-year man Jason Avant (Carver) finished 2007 with the fourth-most receptions on the team, catching 23 balls for 267 yards and two touchdowns. He was a fourth-round pick of the Eagles coming out of Michigan in 2006; last season as a rookie, he had seven catches for 68 yards and a TD. Also playing in Philadelphia is Rich South graduate Greg Lewis, who recently finished his fifth year with the club. Coming into this season, Lewis had 95 catches for 1,187 yards and three touchdowns; this season he had 13 grabs for 265 yards and three scores. Lewis originally joined the Eagles as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Illinois. Houston Texan tight end Owen Daniels (Naperville Central) has developed into a very productive player in only his second pro season.
